Kurt Kuhn’s First Living Baptism Performed as a Melchizedek Priesthood Holder
December 7, 2013
On this great journey I have experienced many blessings and challenges. This one is definitely a blessing. While I have once before, as an Aaronic Priest, baptized for the dead as the recipient, this was my first time to actually perform a living baptism as a Melchizedek Priest. This Brother, formerly of Iran, asked me to perform his baptism after I had helped the Sister Missionaries with his journey. He left Iran because he believes in the Christian faith, which is not desired there. Since he came from a Muslim-based country he has been shunned by others of his country origin, which has made his journey quite difficult. Because so, we will not be releasing their names. That stated, I am happy to say that he is no longer alone, as he found the truth in Jesus Christ’s church of the Latter Day Saints. He is a fantastic man with an amazing journey ahead of him. Sister’s Bell and Sims continue to do a wonderful job in teaching him the gospel. His daughter is still learning and in her decision process of her journey. I am certain with the example she witnesses of the righteousness, good and truth she see’s her of her father’s actions, and those Latter Day Saints around him, that she will also be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
Sadly, even though this is a great occasion, for this Brother and his daughter’s safety, we have had to blur their faces
